The history of UNIservice goes back to the first decade of the twentieth century when a predecessor company, URRUTY, started manufacturing tank cleaning chemicals in Genoa, Italy for use in the marine industry. With the years the range of products and services offered to the marine industry increased, and the company extended its port coverage. In February 1991 the company changed its name to UNIservice . Today the company’s products are sold worldwide under the UNIservice trade mark that is registered in over 40 countries.

UNIservice offers a complete range of chemicals for tank and deck cleaning, chemicals for treatment of water in boilers, cooling systems and potable water on board, combustion improvement additives, pollution control products, anti-corrosion coatings, test kits and reagents. Today UNIservice chemicals are available in 762 ports around the globe. UNIservice also offers gases for welding and refrigeration, welding supplies, fire fighting and safety equipment, as well as inspection sevices for fire fighting systems and life rafts in several key ports.

With several production locations, strategically located warehouses, and a network of affiliated companies, licensees and independent agents, UNIservice serves efficiently the needs of ship-owners.
